How Does Elo Boosting Work?
Elo Boosting, also known as Match Making Rating, or MMR Boosting, involves a booster and boostee. The Booster logs in to another players account with the specific purpose of improving that player, the boostee’s, account MMR.
To better understand why you should elo boost, you need to understand exactly what it means in the League of Legends gaming world.
Elo boosting improves MMR, which is specific to League of Legends.
MMR is a hidden Elo based rating system that is used for match making in game queues. Your actual MMR, and the exact means by which it is calculated, is hidden from players, so we can only speculate as to how it works based on observation. MMR values correspond roughly to tier/division placing, but your MMR can be higher or lower than your actual tier/division position, based on your recent performance. For example, you could be ranked Silver 3, but with a streak of wins your MMR will increase and you will notice that the other player’s in your matches will be Silver 1 or Gold 5. MMR is also used to determine how many league points are awarded/deducted for wins/losses, taking into account your own current MMR, and the average MMR of each team. Basically, MMR is where the game thinks you should be placed, based on recent performance, and it will help accelerate you toward that position (up or down), if you perform consistently. Also worth noting is that each player has a separate MMR value for each queue. Thus you can experiment with new champions and strategies in normal queues and have a lower win rate and a lower MMR than in ranked, where you might rely on tried and tested gameplay.
Why does the ranking matter so much though?
League of legends is a game played by the seasons, and Elo boosting effects how you rank. For example, League of Legends is a team game, and competitive ranking rewards a player’s ability to lead or collaborate with their team mates. So, Elo boosting is a bit frowned upon in actual world championships, for example, but it can tremendously improve your chances and allow you to be matched in MMR in a way that tremendously benefits you during game play.
So what makes it so worth it to utilize Elo Boosting services for MMR?
First, Elo Boosting improves your performance. Because having a higher elo score means being matched with other players with higher Elo scores, you get the opportunity to experience League of Legends play with a high elo league. Playing with and against players whose skill is higher than yours allows you the opportunity to improve your own League of Legends performance much faster than you otherwise would. Conversely, maybe you are already a highly skilled and seasoned League of Legends player but don’t have time to play enough to actually improve their rank to match their skill level. Game play and league match ups become imbalanced, which can be very frustrating to the skilled League of Legends player. Elo boosting allows you to come up in skill level and play with your peers without the time commitment. Additionally, Elo Boosting simply enhances, fixes, and increases your MMR, which serves as league boosting – getting you into a better league to play with, whether your goal is to improve your skills or play with highly skilled players that match you more closely. Whatever the reason, Elo Boosting is a great way to enhance the League of Legends experience and improve your gaming. Try league boosting today!
It works by allowing more experienced players to log in and elo boost your account, which then changes your matching. Sometimes, getting an elo boost is a paid service, other times you might be able to get your friends to help you climb. However, league boosts are definitely worth it.
